Yes - I generally post a photo of my local Delaware Coast. Not this time! The above image is decidedly NOT my hood! In fact: I've never even been to the Cinque Terre (chink-kwa tear-ah). I will change that in 7 weeks when I am in Tuscany.
I posted the above image of the iconic UNESCO Heritage site that many are gaga about for a good reason, though.
Yesterday I spent several hours dismantling a long-awaited epic journey for a treasured guest that included a stay in this gorgeous cluster of villages that hug the coast of Italy on the Ligurian Sea (which is actually part of the Mediterranean Sea). While it rarely happens; folks do become ill, a loved one dies or is near the end, a child gets sick, a hip needs to be replaced, and so on. When unforeseen baddies creep into our lives our vacations need to be cancelled and hopefully postponed.
When the unexpected happens I deeply hope YOU have travel insurance. That's what we are talking about today, Friends. It's the one part of a trip I encourage all guests to purchase even though most will never need it - gratefully.
