Lost in Napoli

Holy lightning bolt: look at the fabulous capture by local photography phenom, Dave Rhoten! We are so fortunate to be the observers of his masterful gifts.

It's no secret that I love maps although I will admit to NOT being the best navigator. I use them quite often in the designing of itineraries in Italy and elsewhere. I just love pinpointing where a hotel or attraction is in relation to where I want my treasured guests to visit.

With all the times I've visited Naples, Italy I was sure I had an overall map of the city I could use to determine the precise location of our "hotel with a view" for next Spring's Southern Small Group Tour. Naturally, I couldn't put my hand on it so I had to go digging in my vintage train case turned map holder pictured above.

I'm sure this never happens to YOU, but I so often (too often, truth be told) am deep into a project and go looking for something I think will help me in said project. That act of getting off course then leads me down a whole new rabbit hole of a project!
