Travel writers from around the globe often focus on how, well - annoying American travelers can be. I understand their points: we are pretty entitled in many regards and used to getting what we want when we want it. I recently listened in as one travel writer gave suggestions for US folks abroad - even if they are really simple, common-sense ways to vacation. I often suggest most of them myself and some bear repeating.
